There are stars out tonight
There are stars out tonight
and though I am blind
they rain down as desert sand in water
You dance beyond sight
veiled by the breeze
I know your motions
from the wind across my lips
it slips and folds
rolls across my body
almost a caress, but not
almost a kiss, but not
almost love, but what can approach that?
You dance beyond sight
but I know your motions
they touch, brush
they tease about me
and are as the wind
I have closed my eyes
blind to you
but aware nevertheless,
the air is warm, soft
spirals up the scent of your body
and though I breath it in
and though it soothes my soul
I cannot look
I cannot touch
I cannot love
for it is only the wind
There are stars out tonight
and I am blind

Thanks, Vesna. I like how you paired it with a song.
I so love this poem, thank you Luke for letting me publish it on my blog. I didn't think much about pairing with music, this poem makes everything better:)
