Thanksgiving
It is Thanksgiving in Canada,
Happy holidays to all who celebrate it and a reminder to all of us to rest more and work less:)))
Hugs,
Vesna
William-Adolphe Bouguereau-Rest at harvest(1865)
A fallen leaf
I must have seen somewhere
Beauty
Like this
Before
I am trying to remember
As I pick up a fallen leaf
Was it burgundy, crimson or ruby
Or terracotta redness
That opens my heart
And fulfills it with gladness?
It's October
It's gold
It's green
It's brown
Reminds me
of rainbows and rivers
And kisses and clouds
And chestnuts and fire
And silent Sun
It's a whole world
On my palm
And I am sure
It's something more
Something from before
Before the creation
of the Ocean
Before the Big Explosion
Before we humans got so smart
There was a treasure full of beauty
Like this leaf
Fragile
Simple
Symmetrical silhouette
Impossible to forget

I can smell the parfume of wet land after the rain and of baked chestnuts.I can admire the autumnal colors of the leaves, so warm...It's Fall!:)
