Words are not just words
they are kisses
on the lips of silence
that speak of your essence

Angelique Kidjo

Toronto , November 8th

 I love this woman.

Her energy is amazing, full of contagious joy. Filled with love.

Keep it up Angelique, never stop!

One more

One more word unfolds,
Ad infinitum
Reaching out
For the next,
Forming
A very delicate structure.
Imagine,
A Stairway.
Start climbing.
Imagine,
A Tree-house.
Start living.
Imagine,
A hot air balloon.
Start traveling.
Imagine,
One more word.
Never stop.

At first light

Candle

 it is clearly a positive sign
with every breath your light
is reaching a new height
you are giving by burning
by disappearing

and
we are all taking
taking it all

unsure

are we the candle
or are we the light?

Inti-Illimani

Inti-Illimani is an instrumental and vocal Latin American folk music ensemble from Chile. The group was formed in 1967 by a group of university students and it acquired widespread popularity in Chile ... Wikipedia

I had a chance to see them perform last week and I can't say enough praise for the talent, warmth and harmony that this band has. Absolute magic! I have known their music for many, many years but seeing them live was really something else.
Please take a moment to treat yourself to this beautiful music. You will feel like flying:)

And, you know me, I always love to add some poetry:)...from another famous Chilean...

For Everybody by Pablo Neruda

translated by Jodey Bateman

I can't tell you quickly
What I ought to tell you,
Say man, pardon me, you'll know
That even though you don't listen to my words
I never took time off to weep or sleep
And that I've been with you when I couldn't see you
For a long time and I'll be there till the end.

I understand that many people are thinking,
"Say, what's Pablo doing?" I'm here.
If you look for me on this street
You'll find me with my violin
Ready to sing
And to die.

It's nobody's problem
Not for them, nor for you,
And if you listen well, in the rain,
You will be able to hear
That I come back and go away and stay.
And you'll know when I must leave.

If my words aren't heard
Don't doubt that I'm the one I was.
There is no silence that doesn't end.
When the moment arrives, wait for me,
And let everyone know that I'm coming
To the street, with my violin.

Thank you for visiting.

O Me! O Life! by Walt Whitman

“O Me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring;
Of the endless trains of the faithless—of cities fill’d with the foolish;
Of myself forever reproaching myself, (for who more foolish than I, and who more faithless?)
Of eyes that vainly crave the light—of the objects mean—of the struggle ever renew’d;
Of the poor results of all—of the plodding and sordid crowds I see around me;
Of the empty and useless years of the rest—with the rest me intertwined;
The question, O me! so sad, recurring—What good amid these, O me, O life?

Answer.

That you are here—that life exists, and identity;
That the powerful play goes on, and you will contribute a verse.”

Venus de Milo

Venus de Milo

Every pore you kiss and seal.
I want to keep memory of your breath
as the last life’s souvenir.

My hair brushed with your fingers,
arranged for forever now: casually, lovingly.
Your exquisite masterpiece.

When I am the happiest I whisper:
I could die now.
Now is now darling,
you’re killing me softly with your words.
